Ovenight Trips on The Deschutes River

Overnight trip on The Deschutes RiverOvernight whitewater trips on the Deschutes River meet at 9:30 on (a day you choose) at the Oasis Restaurant in Maupin, Oregon. See Map/Directions. We will leave your vehicle securely parked there and everyone will go by van to the put-in place at Trout Creek or Warm Springs.  Lunch will be served while we pack the gear boats for departure.  A passenger raft will be available for the guests. Every passenger raft has a professional guide and can paddle or we can row.

After a half-day float, we will find a good campground and unpack.  The guides will be taking care of the kitchen and dinner while you enjoy your campground. It is a good time for alcoholic beverages, hiking, swimming, fishing, relaxing or just having fun.

After breakfast the next day, rafts will be loaded and everyone will depart for a day of rafting fun.  We will stop along the river for a short lunch break and then back to rafting we go.

Estimated time of departure from the Deschutes River is between 3:00 to 4:00 either at Maupin City Park or Sandy Beach depending on the time available and how much river is covered the day before.

Suggested things to bring are:  shorts and small tops or swimsuits for day wear and tee shirts, jackets, long pants, clothing made of synthetic drying material or fleece for the cooler nights.  Hats and water bottles are recommended for the ride on the river. Suntan protection, snacks, bug repellent, flashlights, drinks, toiletries, tents, sleeping bags and pads, lawn chairs etc for the camp out nights.  We probably won’t bring wetsuits for the overnight trip unless requested but we may bring splash jackets and booties. You can rent from us sleeping bags, tents and lawn chairs if you would like.
