About the Deschutes River

Whitewater Rafting on the Deschutes River
  • Oregon's most popular river! Class 3 to 4, April to October.
  • The Deschutes river means "The Rapids" in French. It consists of big class III rapids named "Boxcar", "Oak Springs", "Elevator" and more.
  • This River offers a splashing day in the sun with lots of water fighting. We recommend you be prepared by bringing water guns and buckets.
  • All river trips are economically priced between $40.00 to $75.00 depending on group size and river.
  • The Deschutes is usually run from May to September.
  • All river trips include barbeque or deli style lunch served riverside.
  • The Deschutes is a warm river, so usually wetsuits, booties, etc. aren't even needed. (Always available upon request.)

 

Paddlers Cost
1 to 12* $75.00 for Adult and $65.00 per child under 16
13 to 29 $70.00 for Adult and $60.00 per child under 16
30 to 47 $65.00 for Adult and $55.00 per child under 16
48 + please call for pricing

* Saturday/Sunday, add $5/person. Groups 1 to 12 only.

All prices includes a riverside lunch, wetsuits, splash jackets, and life jackets. Booties and helmets available upon request.

If you wish to omit the meal, discount your ticket by $5.00 per paddler. If you wish to have some persons eating the meal and not rafting please add $9.00 per adult and $7.00 per child 12 and under.

"Boater Passes are required all year for use on the Lower Deschutes River from Pelton Reregulation Dam to the confluence with the Columbia River. Any individual using a watercraft or any other floating device as a means of transport is required to have in his/her possession a Boater Pass."
